Server Dolfini

We have come a long way in our time together, and it hardly seems like almost a year has passed since we announced the separation of servers based on play location. A lot has happened in that time both in the game and in the community, and we feel that along with all our other changes, it is time for us to revisit our policy regarding the servers.

One of the big problems we faced as a global community was the issue of language. Since SG Interactive primarily serves an English-speaking market with our games, it makes it difficult to moderate our games in any language other than English. Our policy with regards to the use of foreign language has been that if the communication is not in English, we are not able to ensure that it adheres to our Terms of Use, so we must regard it as spam and take action accordingly. Unfortunately the very reason for this policy would make it difficult to understand for players who do not understand English.

Therefore, our goal with the separation of servers originally was to provide a distinct play environment for our growing community of Brazilian players, where they will be able to interact with other players from their region in Portugese. However, as a result of the enforcement of this separation, players from both communities were unable to interact with each other regardless of their language skills, which split apart some guilds, friendships and trade partners.

We understand the desire for players to feel like a part of a truly "Global" community, as has been our goal. As a result, while we will continue to operate one server that is intended for Portugese speakers and one for English speakers, we are going to open up a server that will be accessible to our entire community.

We will be designating the Dolfini server as our truly "Global" server. All players will be able to access the Global server, and play games as well as trade items on this server. Additionally, this server will have no restrictions with regards to language use, so everyone is welcome to communicate within the Terms of Use in any language they choose. The other two servers will continue to be intended for Portugese and English speakers respectively, but we will no longer be enforcing no foreign language use as a matter of policy. We feel that a little common courtesy amongst players recognizing the recommended language of Titan Boo and Black Papel will go much further towards our goals than taking heavy-handed action for a minor issue.

If you are playing from Brazil, you will see the following servers:
1. Titan Boo (Play)
2. Dolfini (Play+Market)

If you are playing from other Global Pangya supported regions, you will see the following servers:
1. Black Papel (Play)
2. Dolfini (Play+Market)

With this change, we hope that players will be able to reunite with all their guildmates, trade items and play the game with whomever they choose, and have an easier time finding games at all hours.

We understand that this change may bring some confusion, especially with regards to language use on Dolfini. We would like to stress that this change is really focused on uniting the community and giving players the option to meet on a "neutral" server if they so desire. This is by no means forced, and you’re welcome to play on the server intended for your region exclusively if you want to.
